Contemplation:
Thoughtful observation or study. Intention or expectation to spend time considering a possible future action, or to consider one particular thing for a long time in a serious and quiet way .
In 2007 Jurriaan van Dam approached me with an idea for an interactive sound installation involving 8 microphones and 8 speakers and a computer, confronting visitors with delayed versions of their own sounds.
In January 2008 Jurriaan died after a heavy fight with cancer. In june 2008 his idea was realized in the hallways of Club 11 in Amsterdam, for which I wrote the software.
In 2009 Luc van Weelden updated the software for an improved version that ran at the museumn8 in the Van Gogh museum, also in Amsterdam.
